In order for a child’s safety seat to work the right way, it needs to be installed properly. Installation of these seats can be tricky. That’s why we here at Sun GMC of Nassau have come up with some tips to help you through the process.
-Hang on to those instructions that come with the safety seat you purchase. Those instructions will give you the step by step method of putting the seat properly into your vehicle.
-Dig out your owner’s manual. Most manufacturers will provide a little bit of information regarding what you have in your vehicle to keep your kids safe (tethers, anchors, etc.).
-A properly installed child safety seat shouldn’t move an inch. Make sure you try to get it out of place. If it still moves, take the time to walk through the steps again until you get it right.
