Started having an intermittent issue with a "service engine soon" light going on and off and occasional difficulty starting the engine. The service department was very professional and courteous dealing with the matter. It turned out to be a defective part which the dealership replaced at no additional charge.

Well the transmission went on a brand new car. Only 4500 miles!! We waited two weeks for it to be done and we still have to bring it back to have the seat repaired, which, by the way, we have not heard back from service and it’s been two weeks.

My experience was very good, I just went in for an oil change but also when discussing with the service representative in the morning he agreed to check something else for me and it was handled well and all checked out. When I picked up the car I saw they had checked and topped off tire air pressure also and I was able to conveniently pick it up after my work hours. I actually brought in 2 vehicles for service, one on 6/5 and the other on 6/6. Both trips to Sun were exceptional. The service advisors, Bob McKenna and James are polite, knowledgeable and excellent at their jobs. I even got to meet Mike the service manager when he came out to valet my truck. Sun’s prices are fair and the wait time very reasonable. I’ve been going there for service for almost 10 years and have never been disappointed.

I return to SunGMC because the people are friendly and I never feel like I am being oversold extra service. It starts with Bob who is always there early in the morning when i drop my car off. He’s a welcoming person to start the experience. They repair what’s needed and will let you know if they observe anything else otherwise it’s just the service you requested - no hard sells of 20 other things. My last mechanic used to always try to sell me more every time i went in there so i stopped going to him.

Service was good but they were unable to repair the cell phone charger in my 2024 GMC Acadia Denali. I have the car for over a year and the charger has not worked at all. I am extremely disappointed in that. That was one of the things that made me excited about the car and nothing has been done to fix it.

I dropped my vehicle off Tuesday 10/24 AM for a check engine light to service my emissions system. Tuesday evening I was called and notified that they believe the issue was identified and that the parts were ordered and would be received the following day. Wednesday I got no dealer update on my vehicle, Thursday I got no update as well so I called and left a message for a call back to find out my vehicles repair progression. No call was returned Friday at 11AM so again I called and left a message for a call back. 1:30PM I called again for an update. Finally Michael the service manager got on the phone and told me they only just started my vehicle and would keep it for the entire weekend and maybe I would get it back Monday or Tuesday the following week. I advised Michael that I needed my truck to pick up a large order on Saturday morning and that I would need the vehicle for the weekend or I would need a rental / loaner vehicle. Michael absolutely refused and said it was not his problem I would go potentially 6-7 days with no vehicle and that it was my trucks fault. He refused to get me a loaner and refused to understand why I would need to take my truck at 330PM. I advised him multiple times that this is a large inconvenience to me as both my wife and I work in different locations and do not work from home. Again, he did not care and refused to assist me so his solution was to be nasty to me that it’s not his problem and that he has done this a long time and he refused to acknowledge why my vehicle was not completed Wednesday or Thursday or Friday when the parts were received. He said it was an 8 hour job and would require an overnight for the testing. I asked why it wasn’t scheduled so I could get my truck back and again he was nasty to me. I never once cursed at him or disrespected him I told him that I then wanted the parts for myself so I can go to another dealer or fix the vehicle myself. Michael refused to 1. Tell me what was wrong with my vehicle. 2. Refused to sell me the parts. 3. Told me that the owner would then call me and he just called Himself and said he will not take the truck back at all and give me no parts or issues. When I went in to pick my vehicle up, they made me sign 2 work order forms 1 was for the recall and stating I’m refusing the service due to time constraints and the second form was the actual issue and the secretary quickly took it back and said there was an “error” and that I didn’t need that form, preventing me from learning what the “hours and hours” of work performed on the vehicle gave. My truck was parked in the exact same spot in the same manner as I left it, could this be coincidence maybe, or could this be that they simply loaded my software up to fix the recall parked and never really worked on it for 4 days. I do not know. Either way, this place is filled with liars and the staff is extremely rude and unsympathetic that people depend on their vehicles and that an 8 hour fix shouldn’t require the car to be there 7 days. I went there because my father has always serviced his vehicle there and after learning of this he will now also not be a customer of SUN GMC again. I will absolutely never be recommending this dealer to anyone is this is how they enjoy treating their customers. Rather than understand an inconvenience they chose to create an incessant argument.michael could have said hey will give you the truck come back Monday at 7 instead he said no you can come in next Wednesday or not at all, full well knowing my vehicles speed was being limited to an undeliverable speed limit without a repair. I want the parts for the fix, I want the paperwork copy of what I signed indicating the problem, and I want GMC to rectify my trucks issue. I will be submitting a formal complaint to the BBB and also to GMC corporate for the actions of this service center.

Hello Mr. Strahan. I will not attempt correction of each of your false allegations here. I will make this clear: Your diesel truck is 5 years old and you are NOT our customer. We did not sell you the truck nor have we ever serviced it. Our loaner cars are a privilege typically reserved for our own paying customers. You've been bringing it to Jiffy Lube and non-GM shops since new. We also told you upfront that parts had to be special ordered. My service manager was very respectful and patiently tried explaining things to you. (Our calls are recorded) If you were reasonable your truck would have been completed last Friday. It was already in our shop being repaired when you gave unrealistic time constraints. Calling us liars doesn't win any friends either. We finally decided to cut our losses and suggested that you try another dealership or anyone else who might put up with you. We also have no obligation to give you special ordered parts but they can be sold to a GM dealer of your choice. We already gave you paperwork but will mail you another copy. Hello Christos. Yes, you do need to say more. Your complaint lacks context. You own a Heavy Duty Commercial V-8 Diesel truck. Nothing is cheap or easy on this type of vehicle. You also had much more done than what you mentioned in the survey. And you approved all the work in advance with 4 separate signatures. You could have simply declined and shopped for pricing elsewhere instead of venting after the work was completed. Had you even checked the web you would know that our prices are competitive. Was the first car in with a 730 appointment and didn’t leave there for almost two hours. Was only there for an oil change, tire rotation and inspection

We checked the computerized time stamps on the service documents. The total services took just 1 hour and 31 minutes. It was brought into our shop quickly and this is the appropriate amount of time to perform the multiple services properly. This included an oil change, fluid check, tire rotation, wheel balancing and a NYS inspection. The NYS inspection alone takes 30 to 40 minutes as vehicles are connected to NYS data servers. Frankly, all this would usually take longer but we had two techs working on it at once that day. Thank you for writing and expressing your concerns. Patrick R Cassino, owner-president

Your service representative asked me about the reasons for my visit. After his technician reviewed my car I was told what would be needed and its replacement costs. While surprised I went ahead with the repairs. I received a call back the next day to say that they would need more time because ordered modular had not been delivered. I received a phone call that the repairs were done around 3;30 the next afternoon.,

I was greeted at the door. I then spoke to Patrick and explained what I needed, which was an oil change and you have somebody look at my infotainment system, which acts weird at different times of the day, including freezing up in the morning and the afternoon as well as other times during the midday my car was taken in in a timely fashion. The oil change was done. A tire rotation was recommended which I did, and although they could not re-create the problem with the entertainment system, Patrick assured me that they will track down the problem and resolve it as soon as they could.

03/16 - I met with Matthew Sabia on Saturday 03/07 to first to look at the different vehicles. We talked and priced out the GMC Canyon and I needed to sleep on it. I returned the next day 03/08 and talked with Matthew further and agreed to leave a deposit, but the sale was contingent on a test drive. We scheduled that for Monday 03/09 evening and I really liked the vehicle and we scheduled a pickup date for that Friday 03/13 at 4pm. I met with Matthew, completely the sale and was home by 5pm. The most efficient and quickest transaction I have ever experienced. Matthew Sabia was just terrific. Professional, knowledgeable, kind and listened to me to under my needs. I highly recommend this dealership and Matthew as the sales agent

I had a major issue with the brakes on my 2020 GMC Sierra. From the moment I called to get an appointment to arranging with the dealership to accept the private tow I had arranged everyone was supportive, professional and very helpful. Upon arrival the advisor Bob was great immediately started the process and most importantly kept me up to date during the process. The staff treated this as safety issue and took their time to make sure they corrected the issue. The car was delivered when promised and I want to thank the Service Dept advisor that helped me check out when I arrived after the Service Dept was closed for the day. She was so kind and welcoming even after I showed up after hours and got me back in my truck quickly before the holiday weekend. Thanks again to the entire staff at Sun GMC

This was my first service at Sun GMC. I was interested to see how the experience was going to be since I recently traded in my Cadillac. At Cadillac you drop your car off they provide a loaner. You're in and out. (Note my Cadillac cost $70k this GMC Yukon cost almost $88K) I had a 7:30 appointment. I arrived at 7:32. There was a little bit of a backup in the check in process. Probably took about 20 minutes to write up the service. The 1st service was waiting appointment. I expected to be in and out in about hour to hour and half. In addition to oil change and tire rotation. I replaced one tire. The oil change, tire replacement and rotation took over three hours checking out after 11 am. That seemed to long for the services provided. The service rep was very pleasant. The only thing I wish the dealership would have provided was a courtesy exterior wash.

I had an 8:00 am appointment for an oil change that I was waiting for, as arranged in the phone call when I made the appointment. At 9:30 am, my car was still in the parking lot and not being worked on. No one had given me any updates, and I assumed my car was being worked on. It wasn't until I told them I had to leave (my son was waiting for me at a school practice to be picked up) that suddenly my car was next. It should have been done at 8:00 AM, not at 9:30 am with no communication as I was sitting the waiting room. There was no apologies, just excuses; Mechanics called in sick. That should have been relayed upon checking in my car that they would not be able to honor the appointment I had made ahead of time. I checked my car in at 7:45 am.
