Winter Tires

If you routinely drive on roads that are covered in snow or ice, it might be a good idea to put winter tires on your car. Winter tires have wider tread channels, which allows them to remove snow, ice or other liquid that might otherwise prevent proper traction during inclement weather conditions.

Furthermore, winter tires are made from durable materials that won’t crack or crumble during periods of extremely cold weather. Therefore, they might be right for your vehicle even if you drive on relatively dry roads.

All-season tires may be best if temperatures don’t drop below the freezing point for more than a few hours at a time during the fall or winter seasons. They may also be ideal if you typically drive on main roads or highways that tend to be cleared by local road crews in a timely manner.
